Neon Orange Skinnies

I love to shop…duh…but jeans shopping is one of the worst activities EVER. I was set out on a mission to find a pair of white jeans and a pair of colored ones for the Spring/Summer. I’m pretty sure the fit models at the majority of retailers have a lack of ass and thigh. I don’t have that problem. When I try on jeans, they either fit me on my thighs and are big in the waist or they fit in the waist and are so tight on my thighs that I get those horizontal lines going across the back of my legs…you know what I mean? So gross.

Well, I was about to give up for the day and then I passed by Guess. Right in the entryway were these insanely bright orange skinnies draped across a table. I looked at my boyfriend with raised eyebrows “Just one more store? Pleeeeeease?” How could he say no! And in we went…

It was amazing…they had white jeans, bright jeans, pastel jeans and blue jeans and every pair that I tried on fit me perfectly. I left the store with 2 pairs of the “Brittney Skinny” jeans, the white and the neon orange (shown here of course). To check out more styles and colors from Guess, click here.

Wild Thang

If you don’t have a pair of printed pants (tongue twister?), go get yourself some! I have a few but these are one of my favorites. I like using bold colors together and adding statement jewelry, like this gold bracelet. I could’ve chosen to wear my strappy black sandals but I figured my “Gene Simmons” wedges would really tie it all together…make everything groovy, ya know?

Suited and Booted

I’ve had these suspender tights for quite a while and I’ve been challenged on how to wear them without looking like a piece of trash (a la Taylor Momsen). I decided to create a sort of business-inspired ensemble with a bit of an edge. The buttoned up denim top and flat riding boots help to tone down the mini skirt and tights. I dig it.

Nicholas Kirkwood: Spring/Summer 2012

I’ll take Nicholas Kirkwood over Christian Louboutin ANY day! This British shoe designer is ‘famous for the architectural quality of his designs and his innovative use of materials including devoré satin, hand-printed suede and leather, degradé fabrics, python, shaved stingray, laser-cut mirror leather, cobra and rubberised leather.’ (vogue.com)

I have been a huge fan for years now and I’m excited to see all the collaborations that he is doing with other designers. For Spring/Summer 2012, he did collections for Erdem, Meadham Kirchhoff and Peter Pilotto.

View the rest of the collection here! Trust me, its amazing.

Light Bright

Loving this Neon coral color. I got this sheer top at Timeless Boutique. You can’t see it, but the back is cutout at the top…very cute! I paired this bright top with my light denim skinnies, cream wedges and lots of gold accents…like my double finger ring (also new) and favorite Gorjana necklaces.
